Can past life regression help me?
If you’ve been plagued by health problems, such as fatigue or pain, that don’t seem to have a cause, a sense of anxiety, or you have fears or phobias, perhaps past life regression may be something to look into.
Past life regression, which may also be referred to as regression therapy, is a technique that relies on hypnosis to help you get in touch with memories of your past life or lives. This does not necessarily require remembering events that happened in childhood, since that may not be the cause of your issues. Rather, it’s coming to terms with traumas that occurred in another life, traumas that are still causing you angst because you have not come to terms with these hurtful events. By understanding these events, you’ll also be in a better position to accept yourself rather than behaving judgmentally to your own behaviors, something that only accentuates pain and trauma. Furthermore, by getting in touch with these past traumas, you’ll also be able to understand that death is nothing to fear, that, rather, it’s simply part of a cycle.
In order to prepare for past life regression, you’ll first close your eyes, sit quietly and perhaps do some slow, deep breathing, which will help you get into a relaxed state. The practitioner will speak soothingly, perhaps vividly describing a pleasant scene. The practitioner will prompt and encourage you to describe feelings, emotions, sensations and thoughts that arise. You should be as specific as possible in your descriptions.
Your practitioner will act as your guide as you explore whatever territory comes up, whether pleasant, troublesome or frightening, as you are guided through one or more events in your past life. In essence, you’ll be re experiencing the event in this process and tapping into your subconscious. As a result, your practitioner will help you identify your emotions as isolated from the event. Then, the next stage is to learn how to determine a different way to see the event, stripping it of the emotions that had long troubled you and which may have resulted in your physical or psychological ills. The idea is that this technique can bolster your ability to adapt to situations, becoming more resilient to whatever troubles may cross your path.
